Training Center Kompas (TCK) was founded in 1993, when youth leaders from the Lutheran (SEM),  Evangelical Free, Apostolic and Baptist churches initiated the formation of a youthwork leaders and youthwork organizations’ network, called SIET.

From its beginning, TCK had a clear vision of helping the new generation of Christ followers that appeared after the fall of Communism. Since then, SIET has been organizing national conferences, music festivals and many different events to support youth ministry.

In 1999 SIET expanded its vision, buying a building in Žilina and named it Kompas. Kompas has gradually become a training center, whose main focus is to encourage and support youth ministriy in Slovak churches. A youth cafe was opened in Kompas and served as a model for mission opportunities.

In 2005, the board of SIET decided to discontinue the local project of Kompas Café, but they would keep investing in national youth ministry. SIET was renamed to Training Centre Kompas, whose vision is to help, train and inspire youth leaders around the country.

After 2006, TCK team extended it's ministry in Slovakia and more offices were established outside of Žilina. Right now there are more than 30 people working full time for TCKompas.
